The Cobia 312 Sport Cruiser combines the fishability of a center console with the cabin amenities of a small express. Crossover boats like this have become popular in recent years as manufacturers try to satisfy the demands of anglers who use their boats for both cruising and fishing. In the final analysis, the 312 does a good job of splitting the difference. The modest cabin – with its enclosed head, compact galley, and convertible dinette – offers a level of comfort lacking in most dedicated fishing boats. Cockpit features include a 28-gallon livewell, twin in-deck 45-gallon fish/storage boxes, leaning post with 94-quart cooler, transom sink with cutting boards, and raw water washdown. Wide walkways provide excellent 360-degree fishing access, and the console comes with a tilt wheel, hydraulic steering, and an angled footrest. Trim tabs, bow pulpit, a lockable electronics box, refrigerator, and microwave oven.
