What propels us? Living on the north shore of Lake Superior, David and Jill Molitor, owners of Big Water Boat Broker, are longtime boating enthusiasts with a passion for helping others get on the water.

Big Water Boat Broker is a full service boat brokerage located in Duluth, MN. Having bought and sold boats across the country, David and Jill are well connected within the boating industry and are able to assist those interested in buying or selling high-quality used boats.

Our services include listing, selling and buying power boats, houseboats, and sailboats. We also provide assistance with transportation, storage, slip finding, and maintenance.

We help those interested in purchasing a boat of their own by conducting searches through other broker sites — a practice called co-brokering — which is an efficient and effective process to save you time and money when searching for the perfect vessel.

Selling your boat? Why use a broker? Boat brokers are similar to real estate agents in that we do not take actual possession of the property, but serve as agents to bring buyers and sellers together. Boat brokers earn a commission once the boat is sold. The average commission is right around 10%, but at Big Water Boat Broker, ours is just 8%.

Our goal is to find you a buyer in a timely manner by advertising the vessel to qualified prospective buyers, and quite often we may even know of a buyer before your boat listing goes online!
