An Exceeding popular boat, over 1,800 Marinette 32s of one type or another were built during her long production run – a highly successful design indeed. Construction is welded marine-grade aluminum, and her conservative 1970s-era styling stand in contrast to her lively performance and practical accommodations. A relatively wide 12-foot beam results in a good deal of living space below and the large cab in windows add to the spacious effect. The 32 Sedan is a practical family cruiser with a roomy single-stateroom interior, a small cockpit, and a well-arranged flybridge with guest seating aft of the helm. A portside lower helm came standard and the interiors were usually finished off with teak paneling and woodwork. Additional features include wide side decks, foredeck seating, and a roomy engine room. On the downside, the 35-gallon freshwater capacity is a bit modest and so is the fuel capacity. Several versions of the Marinette 32 were offered over the years including the popular 32 Express and a 32 Fisherman. At only 10,500 pounds, it’s no surprise that her performance is brisk. With a pair of 270 hp 360 Chrysler gas engines, she’ll cruise at 20 knots and reach a top speed of 28 – 30 knots.
